Design · Build · Automate

We make the part nobody makes anymore.

Autovonics is an engineering firm in Lafayette, Louisiana. We design, build, and automate, and we specialize in reverse engineering the components no one else produces.

Downtime is the most expensive problem a facility has, and it's usually caused by the cheapest part in the machine.

What We Do

01

Design

Products · Equipment · Systems

From concept to production-ready drawings. We engineer new products, custom equipment, and complete systems built around how you actually work.

02

Build

Prototyping · Fabrication · Assembly

We don't just hand you a drawing. We hand you the part. Prototypes, fabricated components, and finished assemblies, made and verified in-house.

03

Automate

Data Acquisition · Manufacturing · AI Integration

Sensors, data acquisition, and automation that make equipment smarter, so the machine we bring back runs better than it did before.

Reverse Engineering

Equipment outlives its suppliers.

Manufacturers close, product lines get discontinued, and documentation disappears. When one hyper-specific component fails, the usual options are bad: wait months, replace an entire system, or shut the line down.

We give you a fourth option. We recreate the part.

One team. One point of contact. No handoffs.

  1. MeasureWe capture the original part's geometry, materials, and how it fits and functions in the machine.
  2. ModelWe build an accurate 3D model and drawings, so the part is documented for good.
  3. ImproveIf the original had a weakness, we fix it in material, tolerance, or design.
  4. ManufactureWe produce, test, and deliver the part, ready to install.

About

Autovonics was founded in 2026 in Lafayette, Louisiana, to solve the problems other shops turn away: the obsolete part, the one-off machine, the system nobody documented.
